Hi! I hope you all had a very happy Thanksgiving! I certainly had my fill of stuffing and pie, so to keep myself from feeling too guilty, I make an effort to get out for quick workouts when I have 10 (or even 5!) minutes to spare. My go-to 10 minute workout consists of a few 10 second sprints, lunges, leg lifts, crunches, and of course stretching before and after. And I you’re like me and mostly have capri-cut leggings/workout pants, I also wear knee high or over-the-knee socks to cover up since it can be pretty chilly in the morning. No need to buy full length pants!
I have an outrageously-unattractive laptop bag that I bought for $30 while in college. I got so used to taking it to work with me, I never once questioned it… until Adam saw me pick it up on my way out the door and mentioned that it ruined “my look”. Sad face. Thus I started hunting for one that I’d be proud to tote around…
Anyway, if you’re like me and you’re working on wish lists for the fam or trying to drop hints for your significant others, perhaps my list may be of some inspiration to you. Bonus points since most of these are steeply marked down!
This $20 tiger sweater caught my eye a few weeks back. I wanted to play up the aggressive print, so I threw it on with a super distressed pair of relaxed jeans to keep it edgy. Now I am comfy, cozy, but totally ready to tackle the rest of this week!
Kids are just about always cute. But sometimes the smallest accessories or details on their clothing make them even more ridiculously adorable. Now that Christmas music is playing on the radio, I am in full holiday spirit and literally combing the ends of the internet looking for gifts until I pass out on the sofa each night. I often come across adorable things for kids that I save in my shopping bag for a rainy day (or for it to go on sale). But in case you’re shopping for a little one, I thought I’d share. Here are some of my favorites… and even better, all under $10 so they make amazingly affordable gifts and stocking stuffers!
I should have worn a red, white, and blue ensemble. Or I should have worn red, white, and blue outfits leading up to today. If only I could pick up my phone and get Ralph Lauren to dress me…
Now that I find myself on my feet all day running around after my daughter, I really think about the comfort of my shoes every morning as I get dressed. Can I wear them all day? Might I kill myself on stairs? Etc. Needless to say, when I find a pair of shoes that are cool and all-day ready, I am very, VERY pleased.
Saturday night, Mr. Forstadt and I had an event at the Ace Gallery in Beverly Hills. Rather than opting for a LBD, I wore a frilled sleeve bodysuit and pants… even better, they were super budget-friendly and cost less than $45 combined! I paired them with some Target heels, a thrifted vintage clutch, and a layered lariat necklace to break up the black!
Gingham is just the ultimate summer pattern. You can practically wear your picnic cloth and still look perfectly daytime chic because it really is that effortless and easy to wear.
I am a devout online shopper. I mean, I thrive in the retail world in general, but I find some ridiculously-good deals online. That being said, sometimes my much-anticipated purchases arrive and I find that… well… they don’t quite fit.
