Hope you all enjoyed the holidays! I have spent the past two weekends recovering from the chaos and the abundance of butter and heavy cream in every dish I’ve consumed. My tree finally made it curbside along with about five tons of trash and I Primed myself a jumprope so that I can prepare for spring/summer swimsuit season (wishful thinking, right?). You move into a new house and [stupidly] promise your daughter that you’d throw her a birthday party with all of her friends and family (42 people!!!) in two weeks. What do you do? For me, the answer was simple: have extremely labor-intensive evenings/weekends and do a ton of bargain furniture/decor shopping.
I’ve been packing (and now unpacking) like a crazy person the past three weeks in preparation for our move! Speaking of our new place… how adorable is this hedge-lined street not too far from us? As much as I miss being walking distance from the Beverly Center and a few minutes to Rodeo/Beverly Drive, I am ridiculously excited about being in a family-friendly neighborhood and surrounded by green!
This week has been a scorcher in LA. Triple digits hot, which means sleeveless tops and dresses 24/7. I suppose it’s my chance to get summer clothing out of my system, but it’s just making me more anxious for REAL autumn weather (and clothes).
It has been far too long but now I’m back, with a new camera, new hair, and far too many fun things to wear!
Not sure what you’d call this look, but I’m all about these non-country pigtails and cuffed overalls. My hair, done by my neighbor’s eleven-year-old granddaughter, are semi-edgy dutch braids (the reverse of french braids where the hair is crossed under rather than over) and these overalls are rather boho-funky.
If it’s over 80, chances are, I’m in a tank top of some sorts. Today’s ensemble is rather a layered bodysuit a la Flashdance, Fast Forward, or any other 80s movie you can think of.
Oh how much I have been looking forward to these 4 days off! I get to go to Nashville and visit my new niece… and come back just in time for fireworks. Can’t wait!
Through the month of June the infamous pink wall at the Paul Smith Melrose store has been transformed into a rainbow to mark Los Angeles Pride and LGBTQ Pride Month. Touristy and crowded with pretentious hipsters? Absolutely. But I couldn’t the fact that I really loved the overwhelmingly-colorful backdrop.
