Aloha! I hope you’re all enjoying the holidays. My December has been full of quality family time and traveling… and kicking it off with a 6-day stay in Hawaii wasn’t too bad of a start. ;)
Ok… it’s a head-to-head spring designer collaboration launch week. Lilly Pulitzer for Target releases this Sunday, the 19th, and Milly for DesigNation/Kohls follows on Thursday the 23rd. Lilly is its usual palm beachy laid-back vibe with soft florals and eyelet fabrics, while Milly is slightly dressier and Capri-inspired with bold colors and stripes. Will you be shopping either of them?
A little bit of a different post today. This weekend my family threw me the most adorable baby shower ever and I couldn’t help but share a few photos that I thought captured the spirit of the event. Some things are too good to not be shared…
A few pics from my fair-weathered romp back east. From top left: (1) overlooking Columbus Circle and Central Park, (2) the architecture, (3) a view of Times Square, (4) my sunny day sandals ($19.80 here).
Can you believe it has already been 100 posts and almost one year??? To celebrate, I worked with a good friend of mine (and talented cinematographer!), Zach Osterhout, to create this fun video. Enjoy!
I’d also like to give special thanks to my resident photographer/husband for making this blog possible. Putting this photo mosaic made me realize how many of his hours have gone into the making of this blog. He totes his camera around no matter how tired or busy he is just to capture my next blog post. Now that’s love. :)
Today the Parisian-chic Ines de la Fressange line launched at Uniqlo. I love how wearable the entire collection is and, the best thing… I didn’t spot any polyester that is so common in high-low designer collaborations – it’s all cotton, linen, and silk!
Some of you have probably noticed that I love shooting special posts with guest photographer Taylor Kent. Today I am so excited to share that London-based fashion magazine, Magpie Darling, is featuring the work we have done together… and even better, we got the cover!!! Special thanks to Meagan Schmitz for getting me all glammed up!
You can check it out online and order prints of it here!
The past few months since I started Catching Couture have flown by and here I am at my 50th post. I wanted to do something a little special, so I enlisted the extraordinary Taylor Kent and team for this shoot!
Thank you so much for reading!
