One day it’s 80, the next is 58. So when it feels the slightest bit chilly, I jump at the opportunity to wear a coat!

This week has been a scorcher in LA. Triple digits hot, which means sleeveless tops and dresses 24/7. I suppose it’s my chance to get summer clothing out of my system, but it’s just making me more anxious for REAL autumn weather (and clothes).
Not sure what you’d call this look, but I’m all about these non-country pigtails and cuffed overalls. My hair, done by my neighbor’s eleven-year-old granddaughter, are semi-edgy dutch braids (the reverse of french braids where the hair is crossed under rather than over) and these overalls are rather boho-funky.
Oh how much I have been looking forward to these 4 days off! I get to go to Nashville and visit my new niece… and come back just in time for fireworks. Can’t wait!

Hey! It’s finally feeling like fall in LA! I have put all tank tops on hold and have pulled out my big box o’ tights to help transition some dresses and skirts into the cooler months.
I don’t wear many mini skirts. But I did make an exception for this one when I saw the unique asymmetric color blocking and the eye appliqué. And, it is surprisingly versatile – it can be worn on cooler days with tights, boots, and a sweater or during the summer with a cute tank and sandals.
Hi! I hope you all had a very happy Thanksgiving! I certainly had my fill of stuffing and pie, so to keep myself from feeling too guilty, I make an effort to get out for quick workouts when I have 10 (or even 5!) minutes to spare. My go-to 10 minute workout consists of a few 10 second sprints, lunges, leg lifts, crunches, and of course stretching before and after. And I you’re like me and mostly have capri-cut leggings/workout pants, I also wear knee high or over-the-knee socks to cover up since it can be pretty chilly in the morning. No need to buy full length pants!
Now that I find myself on my feet all day running around after my daughter, I really think about the comfort of my shoes every morning as I get dressed. Can I wear them all day? Might I kill myself on stairs? Etc. Needless to say, when I find a pair of shoes that are cool and all-day ready, I am very, VERY pleased.
