People frequently ask me where I shop for swimwear since I’m picky about the cut, support, color, trend, etc. They’re also often afraid that they’re all by high-end designers, but I actually don’t like to spend much on swimsuits since I generally get tired of them after one or two seasons. So here’s a roundup of my favorite one pieces and bikinis that you can get for this sunny season!

We’re on the move!
I’ve been packing (and now unpacking) like a crazy person the past three weeks in preparation for our move! Speaking of our new place… how adorable is this hedge-lined street not too far from us? As much as I miss being walking distance from the Beverly Center and a few minutes to Rodeo/Beverly Drive, I am ridiculously excited about being in a family-friendly neighborhood and surrounded by green!
LA Pride
Through the month of June the infamous pink wall at the Paul Smith Melrose store has been transformed into a rainbow to mark Los Angeles Pride and LGBTQ Pride Month. Touristy and crowded with pretentious hipsters? Absolutely. But I couldn’t the fact that I really loved the overwhelmingly-colorful backdrop.
VBxTarget
When I initially heard that Victoria Beckham was Target’s next collab, I was beyond excited. But then when the lookbook dropped a couple months later, I was left stumped. Largely disappointed, and quite confused by the mixed bag of looks. I did shop it that morning (I got a little caught up in the excitement and had to do a ton of returns after trying things on), but I didn’t buy nearly as much as I did for the 3.1 Phillip Lim collection.
Now, two weeks later, the frenzy has died down. So… what’s the verdict?
Friday Rainbows
It’s the day when I finally put on my new studded flats and let those perfect pale pink leather soles touch the ground. For the money, you would think they’d feel ah-mazing on your feet out of the box, but no, even $$$ luxury flats need breaking in (but they’re colorful and they make me happy!!!). :D
If you see someone holding up traffic downtown today because they take too long crossing the street, you’ll know it’s me. I shall tread very carefully…
eBaying The Bay
A few days ago I posted about consignment shopping. Today I’m featuring the thrifty shopper’s other best friend… eBay. Ever since I spotted my first Hudson’s Bay coat, I knew I was destined to own something with the iconic Canadian stripes. Only problem was that the styles that I loved so much were made in the 60s and 70s… and that’s where eBay is so amazing.
Consignment Done Right
Some outfits with extreme high-low combos can only be averaged and categorized as ‘debit’. Well, today’s outfit couldn’t get much higher and lower… I mixed and matched a Preen by Thornton Bregazzi jacket (if you’re not familiar, let’s just say that the 100% cotton hoodie from Preen’s current collection is retailing for a cool $815) with my favorite pair of Payless boots. Yup.
