Valentine’s Day Ready
Happy Friday! It has been a busy week of traveling and work, but that just makes the weekend sweeter, right?
A Must-Have for Work: The Cape Blazer
The cape blazer is one of my favorite work-appropriate layering pieces since the unexpected peek at your sleeves keeps things interesting. Best of all, it can be worn with just about anything – layered over a knit dress like I did today, paired with some pants/jeans/fitted skirts… you name it!
Photo Journal: Maui
Aloha! I hope you’re all enjoying the holidays. My December has been full of quality family time and traveling… and kicking it off with a 6-day stay in Hawaii wasn’t too bad of a start. ;)
Summer in Overtime
Summer may have technically ended, but I’m guessing I still have another month or so to enjoy sandals and crop tops before swapping them out for boots and sweaters. When it cools down in the evening, I opt for a light-weight short sleeve jacket like this cotton one. (Can you tell I’m really into chambray outerwear?)
That Ross Moment
I kind of had a Ross moment with this outfit. Not Ross as in the awesomely-horrific discount store, but Ross as in Friends, the sitcom.
Easing into Autumn
Happy Friday! I know we still have a couple weeks of summer left, but I’m already itching to switch up my wardrobe and bring out some traditional fall pieces like ankle boots and short jackets.
Casual Couture
Some days I just want an easy, comfortable outfit. And like 99% of new moms, I am tempted every morning by sweat pants or yoga pants. But just because I gave in to a soft jersey today doesn’t mean I have to look like a total frumpy slob. I prefer to think of this is sweat pants with style… :)
Friday Fringe
Today’s outfit is all about summery textures. A fringed bag, handmade shell necklace, and a crocheted dress with knotted thread detailing all come together to elevate a simple silhouette and keep things interesting. What are your favorite textured pieces for warm weather?
If Jon Snow Went to Festival
I’m not exactly what you’d call a festival girl. I love the fashion scene, but aside from that, it’s too much of, well, a scene for me. That being said, I take advantage of LA’s nearly-year-round warm weather to wear all of my festival-appropriate tasseled, fringed, cropped, and high-slit clothing.
