This tasseled twill tunic (how’s that for an alliteration?) was a standout piece in H&M’s Spring 2014 Collection. The second I spotted it in an ad online, I knew I had to have it and all of its oversized glory. It sold out extremely fast online, so I had to call a few stores to track it down. But so worth it! I’m thinking about going back for it in the beige color as well…

I went through a phase at the beginning of college where I only wore high top sneakers… and the more unique the better. These limited edition kicks designed by French street artist, Fafi, were the first of many colorful pairs that are still in my closet today.
I had been wanting to wear this outfit for a while. Not because it’s flashy or particularly luxe, but because I’ve always thought the combination of silhouettes, materials and textures was interesting. I put on these layers and headed downtown to the Mark Taper Forum for this late night shoot!
This past weekend, I attended a bridal shower for a close friend. Since it feels like spring has already hit LA, I was so excited to be able to wear my brand new Peter Pilotto for Target dress!
The right accessories can make an outfit. Today I jazzed up a classic work ensemble (a button-up blouse and wide-leg pant) with some statement sunglasses, sky high heels, and a pop of pattern.
I’ve been in love with cocoon silhouettes this season – they are comfortable since they have a roomy cut, but the structured material keeps them from looking sloppy. To keep myself from looking like a blimp, I offset the wide body with some skin-tight liquid leggings and some structured wedge booties!

Only in LA can you be comfortable wearing an outfit like this during the winter. It’s a shame to be indoors all day when it’s 80 and sunny, so I took a quick trip to The Grove for today’s post!
I’m a sucker for mustard… and really good deals. This is one of my favorite laid back “cash” outfits. Some things I stalked online for weeks (booties – $25, coat – $45, and bag – $48), one I stumbled upon (the jeans – $32), and one I actually had to brave Black Friday crowds for (the sweater – $18!).
These swishes of light were not photoshopped in – they were perfectly captured by the ingenious Taylor Kent, my camera-swinging guest photographer for today’s shoot!
