These swishes of light were not photoshopped in – they were perfectly captured by the ingenious Taylor Kent, my camera-swinging guest photographer for today’s shoot!
When I say camera-swinging, I mean it. Taylor was handling her camera like a race car driver maneuvers a steering wheel on a winding course to “sculpt” the rays of light around my face in these shots. I had absolutely no idea how they were turning out during the process, but I think the random swirls and bursts of light ended up being pretty magical.
To brave the cold for this late night shoot, I wore what I call my “cotton candy coat” (a delightfully-fluffy alpaca & mohair blend) with a white minimalist leather skirt and pumps.
H&M coat (cotton candy pink is coming soon here)
Guess leather skirt (splurge and steal)
Zara wedge court shoes (similar here and here)
J. Crew purse (get it in tan here)
H&M wool fisherman cap (similar here)
