Last weekend I went to the Beverly Hills Loehmanns to shop the store closing sale. As a super-bargain shopper, sales are like heaven to me. But strangely, that store closing sale actually struck an emotional chord with me… I wasn’t inspired to buy anything (which, I must say, is quite rare for me).

I walked through the ravaged store (that once used to be my mecca) and was saddened by the fact that it wouldn’t exist in a few months. Yes… TJMaxx, Marshalls, and Nordstrom Rack are still around, but Loehmanns and its Back Room (the section of the store with the REALLY good stuff) will remain in my heart.
