It looks like this week might be the last where the weather is in the 80s. Maybe fall is finally making its way over to LA? Either way, I decided to put on my patent leather loafers and fall-appropriate oxblood leather shirt to take a stroll though downtown LA’s Arts District by one of downtown’s hidden dessert stops, Pie Hole.
Can you believe these three models and their hotshot photographer just waltzed right into my shot?!?
This was taken through the front window of Pie Hole…
Asos leather shirt (worn backward and open as a jacket – similar here)
H&M ruffle shirt
Tracy Feith for Target bloomer shorts with eyelet trim
Antipodium patent leather loafers (I’ll warn you, the sizing makes absolutely no sense and it took me 4 tries to get it right… but if you really want them, you can get them here)
Maison Martin Margiela for H&M candy clutch
Forever 21 sunglasses

Last night was also Anthony Franco’s “Flor de Agua” Resort Collection LAFW show at the Thompson Hotel in Beverly Hills. I read the event agenda and planned my evening accordingly – there was a cocktail hour from 7-8, poolside party from 8-9:30, and the runway show at 9:30. I’m not much for pre-partying, especially when it’s on a rooftop on a cool night, so I didn’t get there until 9 just so I could get some quick behind-the-scenes coverage before the show.
The hair and makeup looked amazing! Lots of airbrushed nature-y colors, blue green shimmery shadows, and body glitter… think modern mermaids/mermen.
Here I’m checking out one of the dresses on display on a mannequin
At 9:20 I headed upstairs to claim my spot poolside where the show was going to take place. There were definitely lots of characters…
…and that’s where my coverage of the show stops.
Ends up, at 10:00, thirty minutes after the show was supposed to start, I still saw crew frantically running around with power cords to set up/fix lights. I figured that the show was going to be more than fashionably late (which isn’t cool when people are waiting for you outside), so I decided to opt-out and head home!
What I wore:
Crossover-front jacket from Francesca’s
H&M wool sailor hat
!iT Jeans Lola coated jeans (I got mine years ago and can only find two sizes online here)
H&M Paris Collection over-the-knee leather boots
Zara studded suede barrel bag (also shown here)
On lips: Wet n Wild Mega Last Lip Color in Cherry Bomb (here)
The outfit is so cool! I love the loafers..looks like a fun shoot
The jacket looks great!! Love your outfit!
