It is hard to believe that it’s already the last week of summer. I won’t be storing away my tanks and flowy dresses quite yet since it’s still in the 80s in LA, but soon enough!

I’m not sure if you’re familiar with Payless’ designer collaborations (you can see Christian Siriano’s current Fall collection here), but these colorblocked platform sandals were from Alice and Olivia’s Spring ’09 line. $38 retail price, but I got them on sale for $19.99. Pretty great deal… and worth buying two if you ask me (I did). That collaboration actually marked my first trip to a Payless store (and was followed by several other as later collections were released and ill-fitting returns were made). Either way, it was nice to see an affordable designer collaboration released that didn’t require you to camp outside for hours (ahem… Target).

While the shoes and earrings were definitely “cash” purchases, the rest bumped this look up to the “debit” category:
