Meet my nephew! He and my sister were in town for a visit, so we went to the Getty for a children’s concert in the garden to see his favorite musician, Elizabeth Mitchell. I kept it simple in an Erotokritos shift dress with a fun padded neckline and grey buttons and he sported a preppy Janie and Jack ensemble and oversized shades. What a cool kid!
Now, I don’t know about you, but one of the best ways I discover smaller or foreign labels is by going to vintage and consignment stores (I’m always amazed with the things I find!). LA is full of them (Wasteland, Buffalo Exchange, Crossroads, the list goes on!) and as crazy as it sounds, tons of people here get rid of things before they’ve even worn them!
I struck gold with this dress – great colors, creative detailing, a beautiful cotton/silk blend, and best of all… new with tags. This was quite a find, and will stay in my closet for years to come. ‘Til death do us part!
