Finally we are getting into sweater weather again! Today’s outfit is all about unexpected layers and taking a traditional summer piece and making it fall-appropriate. This sleeveless silk shirt dress was one of my favorite things to wear at the beginning of my pregnancy because the unique sleeve details easily disguised my little bump. Though it no longer serves its belly camouflage purposes, I still love wearing it in the cooler weather layered over a neutral turtleneck sweater and some over-the-knee boots.

And the countdown begins…
Now that it’s November, I am officially on high baby alert. Sure, she’s not technically due for a few weeks, but my bags are packed and waiting by the door just in case! This knit sweater dress isn’t maternity, but was one of my happy closet finds (things that I discovered still fit me) once I started pulling out knitwear for the cooler temperatures. I threw on a blazer to make it a little more work-appropriate, and paired it with a creamy-peach and orange purse to add some fun complementary colors.
Leopard and Polished Leather
This silk dress is one of my favorite easy go-tos for work – with or without a bump (I just tie the sash in a different place!). To offset the bold pattern, I opt for sleek polished leather accents around my neck, on my feet, and in my hand.
A pregnant girl’s best friend
This is my latest dinner date outfit. (Trust me, it’s not easy finding outfits that make you feel attractive when you’re 7 months pregnant!) One thing I know for certain… aside from drawstring sweatpants, jersey pencil skirts are a pregnant girl’s best friend. Sure they are generally viewed as being quite casual, but add some patent stilettos and they’re good enough for a night out.
I just ate two meals
This little belly controls me. Last night I went home and cooked for 4 hours straight (I ended up making two meals because I couldn’t make up my mind!). Luckily this flowy dress comfortably accommodates my newly-found roundness and makes me feel… well… a little more glamorous!
And Other Stories
Alright New York, I know I rave about how much better LA’s weather is, but I am so jealous that you get the first & Other Stories store in the US. For those of you unfamiliar with the label, it’s H&M’s more grown up, chicer sister company that is slated to open on Broadway later this year.
If I were a superhero…
The Statement Button Up
When you have a shirt like this, you don’t need any jewelry or flashy accessories. The first time I laid eyes on its poofy sleeves, cowl neck, and round gunmetal buttons, I knew it was a keeper.
Hello Spring!
Winter colors and heavy layers have me itching to wear my bright florals the second spring arrives. Anyone who knows me is well aware that silk is my material of choice, so it was a no-brainer that this blouse was going to be my floral of choice to welcome the new season!
Date Night
This 80s designer knew how to make a tasteful-yet-sexy dress – long sleeves (hard to find!), a cowl neck, and a killer high-low hem. Perfect for a dinner date in Beverly Hills!
