When the Marni for H&M collection came out in March 2012, I was so excited to buy some of the pieces… until I saw the prices. Sure, it was just a fraction of Marni’s usual prices, but the $200 pricetag on this patent leather jacket prevented me from lining up at the store at 7am opening day. Instead, I took the extremely patient approach and waited until a NWT item in my size (ebay talk for “new with tags”) popped up for $45 last week. I obviously snatched it up promptly and thus, deem this another very proud “debit” outfit.
These cutout booties were my most recent purchase from Forever 21. Unlike the jacket, they are not made of real leather, but I love their Alexander Wang-inspired look (they strongly resemble his Nadine and Mackenzie boots) and they are comfortable enough to wear all day. Given their style, comfort, and price, I consider them a win-win-win.
