Yesterday marked the first day of LA Fashion Week. On my agenda? Four LA Fashion Council shows at The Grove and one for Sue Wong downtown!
My day began at 10:30 with a media brunch at The Fat Cow at The Grove (all of us couldn’t stop taking photos of the amazing food!) and then we headed outside to the park where the first four LAFC shows were going to take place. You know how LA has the most perfect weather for outdoor events? Of all days, it was 63 degrees and raining!!! (Thankfully The Grove was super on top of it and had canopies set up and umbrellas on standby!)
Despite the weather, LA Fashion Council put on a really amazing event. It was great being front row for Stella Proseyn (with the half-pants-half-shorts that I want so badly!), Linden (flattering cuts in a variety of mix-and-matched patterns/colors), ISM Mode (cool animal masks and perfectly-tailored pants!), and Odylyne (goddess-like dresses with beautiful makeup and elaborate headdresses/hair accessories). Between the shows, they had a manicure stand, a TOMS eyewear setup, MAC makeovers, and Sprinkles cupcakes. What’s not to like?!?
After we wrapped at The Grove, I rushed home, did a quick clothes swap, and fought traffic downtown to Cicada, where Sue Wong’s “Jazz Babies” show took place. Talk about a production! There were 8 different “acts” ranging from her trademark embellished cocktail dresses, to evening gowns, to bridal… all equally gorgeous and so perfectly accessorized!
Here I struck a pose with some of the gowns on display
The models did a quick walk through pre-show…
I wore my favorite Tarina bling since they matched the accents on my dress!
Zako USA paint splatter dress (my mom bought it for me 10 years ago!)
Vintage angora sweater
Sigerson Morrison for Target pumps
Vintage metal clutch
Tarina Tarantino earrings (here) and ring (here)
Forever 21 feathered headband (Target’s version here)
I love your dress. What great productions to be a part of and share with everyone
Wait Michelle what is your job? Are you some kind of fashion media person now?
I’m like…totally obsessed with you (in a non creepy way) hahaha
I love your take on the 1920s Great Gatsby-esque look!
So lovely!
and fabulous fashion!
