When people talk about sweater dresses, I normally think of big, bulky, knee-length numbers that make you sweat and itch. Not this one. It’s skimpy, it’s scandalous… and it’s totally up my alley. :)

I’m Back
Well… I am officially a mom. :)
Since my little one is now one month old (and I am able to get back into some of my skinny jeans), I figured it was time to bring out the stroller and take her on her first blog photoshoot – it’s a family affair!
The Calm Before the Storm
I hope you are all having a great week. This will likely be my last outfit post pre-baby as I have a feeling this little girl isn’t going to sit tight much longer! But if you don’t want to miss a beat, you can follow me on Instagram, as I’ll continue to post tidbits from my phone.
Channeling Tommy H
I don’t know how else to describe this outfit other than “very preppy and Tommy Hilfiger… but much less expensive.” It’s got a little H&M, Zara, and H&M’s Zara-like older sister, COS, which just opened in Beverly Hills last month! Pretty exciting.
A Lesson in Layering: Part 2
I was feeling double outerwear today. Sometimes it can seem a bit bulky, but this trench coat easily accommodates this medium weight denim jacket and the overall look benefits from the added color, different hemline, and texture. To top the outfit off with a little pizzazz, I added my super-glam/super-splurge “razor’s edge necklace” and some snakeskin details.
A Lesson in Layering: Part 1
Finally we are getting into sweater weather again! Today’s outfit is all about unexpected layers and taking a traditional summer piece and making it fall-appropriate. This sleeveless silk shirt dress was one of my favorite things to wear at the beginning of my pregnancy because the unique sleeve details easily disguised my little bump. Though it no longer serves its belly camouflage purposes, I still love wearing it in the cooler weather layered over a neutral turtleneck sweater and some over-the-knee boots.
A Bright and Sunny Day
Can you tell I am feeling colorful today? This shirt dress is pretty subdued and neutral on its own, but with the pink tights, mustard details, and multi-colored satchel, it really comes alive. Perfect for a happy Friday!
And the countdown begins…
Now that it’s November, I am officially on high baby alert. Sure, she’s not technically due for a few weeks, but my bags are packed and waiting by the door just in case! This knit sweater dress isn’t maternity, but was one of my happy closet finds (things that I discovered still fit me) once I started pulling out knitwear for the cooler temperatures. I threw on a blazer to make it a little more work-appropriate, and paired it with a creamy-peach and orange purse to add some fun complementary colors.
Luxe Details
An extremely mixed high-low outfit like this can only be averaged to be ‘debit.’ The sweater and shorts were only $32 combined ($7and $25 respectively), but I glammed them up with a more pricey topaz crystal ring and a gold-chained baby satchel.
Burgundy Boots in Beverly Hills
I consider these burgundy bad boys to be my perfect polished leather ankle boot for fall. Low enough heels to wear all day (even during pregnancy), but enough to give you a little height. I also experimented with some more nail art (color blocking, metallic striping tape, AND pyramid studs!) and stacked on some gold accent rings to draw a little extra attention.
