Showered with love… and lots of desserts!

A little bit of a different post today. This weekend my family threw me the most adorable baby shower ever and I couldn’t help but share a few photos that I thought captured the spirit of the event. Some things are too good to not be shared…

I think I have the craftiest family around (led by the craftiest aunt imaginable!). Everything was perfectly executed down to the tiniest of details… the origami dress name tags, the pink himalayan and french grey sea salt “sand art” favors, and the rows of handmade yarn pom-poms and tissue paper tassels that zig zagged through the space (540 tassels to be exact!).

My sister became a pom-pom master the past few weeks and told me she has has a secret plan for the future life of these fluffy decorations. More on that to come… (when I find out what that plan is)

The steak salad and soba noodle salad bar used every sized serving dish imaginable (plus my mom made a very Pinterest-worthy 3-foot-long cedar wood “trough” to serve the mixed greens!).

And the really impressive part was the spread of desserts. I am known for my sweet tooth, and 5 of the best bakers I know all pitched in and made my absolute favorites. You name it, we had it! Cupcakes, cookies, macaroons, madeleines, tartlets, waffles, cake pops, homemade marshmallows… the list goes on! :)

Since the shower was held in an office with production space, we took advantage of the white backdrop and used it for photo ops with props. I couldn’t possibly share all of the great/outrageous photos with friends and family, but these are definitely two of my favorites.

I’d just like to thank my family for putting this extravaganza together. I can only imagine how much time and effort went into each detail, but I truly appreciate every bit of it.

I’d also like to thank everyone who came out to take part in fun. It was so special to be surrounded by the people that I care about for my final pre-baby party!

What I wore:
H&M maxi dress
DKNY wedge sandals
Voz Collective necklace
Alexis Bittar bracelet
(and some really lovely lash extensions from my trip to Lashfully!)
