Venice Beach is not my favorite coastal spot (I’ll go ANYWHERE else – Manhattan, Huntington, Zuma… even two miles north in Santa Monica!). But it is the home to Muscle Beach and beachside gym equipment, so I decided to suck it up and head to the circus for my workout post.
This is one of my favorite “tight and together” workout looks (there are no jiggling or bouncing here!). These pants by Wear Me Out are so versatile and perfect for indoor or outdoor activities. They are made of a good-quality, stretchy material that breathes well and, even better, is more slimming and flattering than Spanx! I like the fit of mine so much, I actually wear them as leggings with a tunic and boots as everyday casual wear.
This top is one of my great discount finds about five years ago when Nike experimented with a high-end (and high-style!) line of training dri-fit apparel. It retailed for $85, but at Marshalls I got several different styles for an unbelieveable $5.99!
Then I just finished the look with my favorite Toms sunglasses (the champagne crystal color is amazing in person!) and a sculptural brass, gold, and copper necklace from Blue Sparrow!

Yeah, Venice is gross. You make hanging upside down look really cool!
THOSE PANTS! I need new workout pants and I’ve never been super happy with my Nike ones, so now I know what to get!
